What is the NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell series?

NVIDIA announced the RTX PRO Blackwell professional GPU family on 18 March 2025. It replaces the RTX Ada Generation line and brings three things that matter for AI work:

Security and cleanup support

GDDR7 ECC memory with substantially higher bandwidth than the GDDR6 it replaces

Support engineer handling migration tickets

Fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 precision support alongside FP8, BF16, TF32, FP16, INT8 and INT4

The team also fixes issues they find during the move, at no extra cost.

A fair approach to hosting

Fourth-generation RT Cores with RTX Mega Geometry for ray-traced rendering

Backup snapshot set with files, database and mail
Nvidia rtx 6000

Which RTX PRO 6000 edition do you need?

NVIDIA ships three variants. All three share the same 96 GB of GDDR7 ECC and identical core counts — they differ in cooling, power envelope and form factor.

Automated schedules Workstation Edition (600 W) active dual-flow-through cooling for maximum sustained performance in a single-GPU workstation.
One-click restore Max-Q Workstation Edition (300 W) blower-style cooler exhausting out the rear, designed for multi-GPU builds where thermals are the constraint. AI performance is close to the full-power card at half the power draw.
Ransomware-safe copies Server Edition passively cooled for rack-mount deployment, with enhanced virtualisation and MIG support. This is the edition that belongs in a data centre, and the one that matters if you are renting rather than buying.

Why host your RTX PRO Blackwell GPU server with Webyne Data Centre

We operate our own facilities in Mumbai and Noida. The GPU node your workload runs on is hardware we own, in a building our engineers work in.

Power density that actually supports these cards 01

Power density that actually supports these cards

A 600 W GPU in a rack provisioned for standard enterprise load is a problem waiting to happen. Ask any provider what power density their facility supports per rack — it is the constraint that quietly determines whether they can host what they are selling.

Single-tenant, dedicated hardware 02

Single-tenant, dedicated hardware

No shared GPU, no time slicing, no competing for memory bandwidth.

Data stays in India 03

Data stays in India

If you are training on personal data of Indian users, keeping it here materially simplifies your position under the DPDP framework, and avoids the cross-border transfer questions entirely.

INR billing with GST invoices 04

INR billing with GST invoices

so your finance team can claim input tax credit — unlike an overseas GPU cloud where you are handling reverse charge and a 2–3.5% card markup.

Support in IST 05

from engineers who understand GPU workloads rather than a ticket queue that escalates

A path up and down

Start on an rtx pro 4000 blackwell node, move to RTX PRO 6000 when your models outgrow 24 GB, without changing vendor or re-architecting.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Memory and generation. The RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell carries 96 GB of GDDR7 ECC at 1,792 GB/s with fifth-generation Tensor Cores. The RTX 6000 Ada Generation carries 48 GB of GDDR6 ECC with fourth-generation Tensor Cores. The Blackwell card doubles the VRAM and adds FP4 precision support, which matters significantly for LLM inference.
Indian retailers currently list the Workstation Edition in the region of ₹14–16 lakh before GST, though the figure moves with GDDR7 supply and importer stock. The card launched at roughly $8,565 in March 2025 and has appreciated substantially since. For most teams, a dedicated GPU server works out cheaper than buying at current prices.
Yes, within its 24 GB memory limit. It comfortably serves small and mid-sized models at full precision and larger models when quantised. If your model plus KV cache exceeds 24 GB, you need the RTX PRO 6000 — extra compute cannot substitute for missing VRAM.
They target different jobs. The H100 is built for large-scale distributed training with NVLink and HBM memory. The RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell is built for inference, rendering, simulation and visualisation, with more VRAM per card than an 80 GB H100 and strong graphics capability the H100 lacks entirely. For inference and mixed AI-plus-graphics workloads, the RTX PRO 6000 is frequently the better value.
Multi-Instance GPU lets you partition one physical GPU into isolated instances — on the RTX PRO 6000 Server Edition, up to four 24 GB instances, two 48 GB instances, or one full 96 GB instance. It allows several workloads or tenants to share a card with hardware-level isolation rather than competing for it.
For rack deployment, yes. The Server Edition is passively cooled for data centre airflow and adds virtualisation and MIG support. A Workstation Edition card with an active cooler is designed for a desk-side chassis, not a dense rack.
Yes. We deploy RTX PRO Blackwell GPU servers from our Indian facilities on dedicated, single-tenant hardware, with INR billing and GST invoicing.
Primarily the GDDR7 memory shortage. The card uses 96 GB of GDDR7 in a clamshell design — the largest VRAM pool in its class — which makes it acutely sensitive to memory supply constraints. Prices have risen sharply since launch as a result.
